Oooh how fun! Lets see 1) we always watch Love Actually and drink cocoa on Christmas day...
Aaand 2) putting up the Christmas tree with the hubster has to be a favorite!!
Thanks! ;)
1) On Christmas Eve I set out the Nativity Scene while Christmas music is playing. The I usually turn on the late-night holiday mass on TV (or at least I did while Pope John Paul II was still alive).
That's so generous of you! And I LOVE Panta, so I'm really stoked!
1) Hot chocolate!
and...
...
2) driving or walking around to look at the Christmas lights on all the houses!
Thanks for the giveaway!

Every year, we pack up the dogs and go look at Christmas lights around town
After decorating the tree, we turn off all the lights, put on Christmas music and look at the tree.
My favorite is definitely making a special Christmas meal for the family.

oh Panta, i love you so. your santa hat, candy cane bamboo and extreme cuteness warm my heart <3 you should come live with me!
here in Denver we have the Parade of Lights that goes through downtown and is a fun and beautiful way to start the holiday season...unfortunately i had a nasty cold this year and couldn't brave the cold to go out and watch it. lucky for me they televise it!
OH!! I LUV the headband. I've been a beginner-knitter for almost 30 years! =P But, maybe...this is small, I could try to do one? Well, maybe after Christmas. =)
Thank you so much for your nice comments on my blog for Saturday's Health Wize...I would LUV to comment back to you thru email...but, I don't know your email. =(

oooh I love watching my kids decorate the christmas tree! It's chaotic, but fun!
And my second favorite moment is getting everybody into thier brand new christmas Jammies on christmas eve. (this way we all look sharp on christmas morning when plenty of pictures are taken! ;) )
I love having a quiet holiday at home with just our family. Getting out of your pj's is optional, not just on Christmas day, but the whole week after. That is definitely my favorite tradition.
Hehehe... Panta... it makes me giggle!!
My first favourite winter activity (since we have xmas in summer I can't really call anything we do in winter much of a "tradition") is rugging up super-warm & taking the kids out to jump in puddles!
...and my second favourite is... MILO! I don't know if you know what that it, it's kind of like a malty version of hot chocolate - divine on a cold winter's evening!
Merry Christmas!
PS, Reply to this email & tell me your name!!! ALL this time I have been reading & I haven't a clue! It's WRONG! xx
This is such a nice giveaway! My favorite Christmas traditions are not original, but I love to set up the tree, as soon as possible! This year I put it up before Thanksgiving!! And...
Opening presents!
Going to the Lights of Christmas in Stanwood with a thermos full of hot chocolate!
Also... choosing a special ornament for my daughter each year. It must reflect something fun or funny from the year, or a major accomplishment. This year, she gets a space needle ornament for going up her first time. If only I could find a Wheedle ornament!
I think the Panta is adorable! (1) Make Christmas cookies with my daughter and (2) doing our Jesse Tree readings together as we count down to Christmas!
Christmas morning we have orange rolls and tea for breakfast whilst we open presents.
my favourite tradition is that on Christmas Eve, Santa always comes around on a firetruck at about 730 at night. Everyone in the neighbourhood comes out to the end of the driveway and waves at him doesn't matter the age!! He has been doing it since I was about 5.
My other favourite tradition is that no matter what we are doing - at 12 noon my family stops what they are doing an watch the Queen wish us a Merry Christmas....
A candle in the window on Christmas eve (and Jan 6th) to let the Holy Family know there is refuge to be found under my roof.
love it ,love it ,love it.Pjs and reading stories with my kids.
Well, my first tradition is that every year I go to pick out an ornament with the date on it for the whole year. I have 12 of these so far, and each one reflects something important about that year. I really like that one. I don't have much more room for ornaments on my tree, but these are all very special to me and it was something I could do with my family without spending a lot of money (because some years were really tight!). :)
The second tradition is that every year I make lamb, and we sit down and watch March of the Wooden Soldiers, right after dinner. It's so much a tradition that my husband ascribed an entire year's bad luck to the one time that we didn't do it! :)
I love Panta!
I think my favorite tradition is decorating the outside with lots and lots of lights. yep, and it's not just me. Our whole little 5 house street does it, and I noticed some more houses are getting in on the action. It makes me smile when I see lit up holiday homes.
second favorite tradition is watching all the awesome movies- Elf, A Christmas Story (You'll shoot your eye out!), Rudolph, etc. I love them!
Watching Christmas Vacation wit Chevy Chase is OUR FAVORITE!!!!!!
and OMG!!! both are so wonderful!!!!!! but you know I want that panda :-) My hoopla wall has a few empty spots still
:-)
Thanks....enter me too.
(and thanks for the comments on my felt ornaments - they were fun. and I think DH did a good job too, heheheee)
My favorite has to be decorating the tree, my husband usually puts up the lights and we let the kids put up the ornaments. We have a lot of homemade ornaments and the kids always ask and retell the stories behind each. The kids are grown now so the tree in balance than it was when they were little. We also have a granddaughter to help decorate.

Love the Panta - very appropirate as in Scotland just now people are going panda daft with the arrival of two Pandas at Edinburgh Zoo!
As for a Christmas tradition I love reading 'Miss Flora McFlimsey's Christmas Eve' on Christmas Eve including doing all the voices.
Ooh - Panta! Love, love, love it :)
My favourite Christmas tradition is the smaller intimate family dinner we have on the eve of the 24th right before the extended family madness that sets in on the 25th. We exchange our special gifts and just appreciate each other in a relaxed, calm and still festive mood. Bliss.

We get together and have a big meal then open gifts then have drinks except me I no longer drink I have a glass of ice tea because it looks like a bourbon on ice. Thank you for the giveaway and Happy Holiday to You and Yours.

We take giant bones out to our livestock guardian dogs and our animals get fed on Christmas morning before we open our stockings. I make cinnamon rolls the night before so they have risen and are ready to pop into the oven when we come in from farm chores.

Fave Xmas tradition, making non traditional finger foods on Xmas eve, hubby and I pick a country and make 4 or 5 side dishes from that country, a great way to try new dishes without the worry of not liking a full on main course.

Writing a letter to Father Christmas (Santa) on the first few days of December, little fella is 2 so looking forward to him writing them in the future :)
My favorite winter tradition - going to look at Christmas lights!
I love setting up the christmas tree and the first time you light up the tree.
Both of those prizes are awesome!
We usually watch "The Christmas Story" - best holiday movie ever - make a spicy hot chocolate, and open one present at midnight on Christmas eve :)
I like the Post-Christmas tradition of going away for a secluded get away somewhere up the Mendocino Coast, CA. Nothing better than to relax and just enjoy each other's company. Thanks!
Every year we watch the Polar Express while cuddling and sipping hot cocoa with candy canes for the stirrers. My son loves Panda's, it is so cute!

My favorite winter season tradition is putting up our electric advent candlesticks in time for Advent 1st. We also decorate the advent candle box with four candles and light the first one. Then every Sunday we light another candle, two for Advent 2nd, three for Advent 3d and so on. It's a countdown to Christmas and a swedish tradion from our homeland. :)
If I'm fortunate enough to win I would give the beautiful Christmas Panta to our friends who love everything Panda and goes by the nick names "Big Panda" and "Little Panda". The book I would keep for myself for some crafty inspiration. :)
I'd die for a Panta! :OD Figuratively of course!

When they were first married my parents made a giant, blanket-sized wall hanging of a red "pink" panther with a wreath around his neck. It's known as "The Christmas Cat" and has hung in our living room every Christmas of my life. :)
